The Gbawin Literacy Project (GLP) is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to promoting and supporting literacy at Barsee-Giah Town Public School in Liberia.

One of our core initiatives is the annual distribution of school supplies, ensuring that every student and teacher begins the academic year with the materials they need for success.

In addition to this, GLP enhances classroom instruction through teacher training and professional development workshops, helping to build stronger, more effective teaching practices.

We are also committed to fostering a love for reading by ensuring each child receives a book for personal enjoyment, with the goal of nurturing lifelong reading habits.

GLP works in close partnership with students, teachers, school administrators, parents, the PTA, community leaders, and educational authorities to improve education and expand learning opportunities for every child in the community.

In the long term, our organization hopes to establish and maintain an on-site library to further promote literacy and a culture of reading across all grade levels.
